Uploading PDF documents via Documents Uploader app

In this article, we’d like to talk a little bit about updates to our CloudScan and the Documents Uploader app that have impact to some of our users.
The Document Uploader is designed as a completely free method of converting pdf invoices to e-invoices and send them to your buyers. Sending invoices can also be done by using our Tradeshift user interface or via sending e-invoice formats via our SFTP, FTPS or API upload integration options.
The intention of the Document Uploader is to enable companies sending a smaller number of pdf invoices with a small number of invoice lines to have those converted and sent to you as e-invoices free of charge. However, an increasing number of companies have started using the Document Uploader for high volumes of invoices and also invoices with many line items. This has resulted in complaints about processing time...and we’re listening!
Based on this feedback, we have made a change to the engine meaning substantially reduce processing time. Expected processing time after this change will be less than 10 minutes. Please note however that the speed gain may introduce a noticeable drop in conversion accuracy rates. That said, accuracy will continue to steadily increase over time as the engine is processing more invoices and as you are correcting mistakes in the validation step.
If time spent on correcting invoices in the validation step is too long we recommend you to try two things:
If you are uploading scanned documents, try instead uploading digital PDF documents that were generated directly on your computer. Many programs have an "Export to PDF" function, or you can install a printer driver that generates PDF files. This kind of PDF file has higher quality than scans and will therefore yield better results.
If you are already using digital PDFs, consider switching to populating e-invoices instead of pdf files. We support sending a large number of e-invoice formats via our SFTP, FTPS and API integration options. More details can be found here.
